Sándor Demján

Sándor Demján is the wealthiest Hungarian with assets worth over 1 billion euro. He has made fortune investing in property market all over Central and Eastern Europe.

Demján is the chairman of TriGránit Development – one of the biggest property developers in its part of Europe. The firm built the greatest polish business park – Bonarka City Center in Krakow. Hungarian real-estate tycoonis also famous for buying an island on Seychellesto erect a luxurious hotel there.

Sándor Demján was born in Transylvania in 1943. He is a typical self-made man. After graduation from the College for Trading and Catering he started his first job in bankrupting cooperative AFESZ. Within 13 years he managed to cured to company and became its chairman. Several years later Demjánestablishes the one of the first commercial banks in Hungary - Magyar Hitel Bank.

He starts his real-estate business at the beginning of the nineties last century. Six years later Demjánestablishes TriGránit Development. At the moment the company focuses on building offices, commercial centers, housing estates and hotels. Demján is also the owner of a power plant, a film studio and a winery.

During his long and successful career the Hungarian businessman has received many major awards. Several times he was named the entrepreneur of the year and in 1986 the man of the yearin Hungary; in 2000 Demjan was named the most influential businessman of the decade in Hungary. He is also a honorary citizen of Budapest.

Sándor Demján is the president of National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers and vice-president of National Association of Entrepreneurs. In the past he was in charge of Hungarian Football League.
